JAMMU, Mar 23: As many as 35 public delegations and individuals hailing from different parts of the State met the Advisor K Skandan at Convocation Hall here today and put forth their problems and grievances before him and sought their redressal.
A delegation of Drass Kargil headed by Councillor, Bhimbhat Constituency of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil Aga Mohammad Shah demanded establishment of Drass Development Authority and sought redressal of various developmental issues including opening of Drass-Gurez road and construction of receiving stations at Bhimbhat and Thasigam.
A deputation of land owners whose land has been acquired/identified by the Government for construction of Ring Road requested for enhancement in compensation as per market rate. They also demanded for early de-silting of Ranbir Canal and its distributories.
Another deputation of JK Cements met the Advisor during the darbar and demanded for immediate release of their salary.
Delegation of teachers, who were working in Education Department as an academic arrangements and disengaged after the session requested the Advisor for their continuation.
A deputation of the people of Baramulla demanded compensation for the land acquired by the Government for construction of road.
Kashmiri Pandit Migrants delegation sought intervention of the Government to check grabbing of their land in the Valley.
The delegation of diploma holders of Pharmacists demanded for creating job opportunities in the Animal and Sheep Husbandry Departments.
Daily wagers working in Power Development Department requested for their regularization.
Delegation of Kashmiri Migrants demanded for early selection of recruitments under PM Package.
Agriculture Department Employees delegation raised the issue of conduct of early Departmental Promotion Committee meetings.
Meanwhile, several individuals also met the Advisor and registered their grievances and issues for their solution.
The Advisor assured the people for redressal of all their genuine grievances and said that every genuine issue and demand would be resolved on priority. He said that the grievances registered would be forwarded to the concerned departments for their appropriate disposal.
Among others, Director Industries and Commerce, Anoo Malhotra, Commissioner Relief, M L Raina, Regional Transport Officer, Jammu, Dhananter Singh, Joint Director Horticulture Jammu, Travinder Singh, Joint Director Agriculture, Anil Arora, Joint Director Handicrafts, Anju Gupta and other concerned officers also attended the grievance camp.
