Several delegations call on Dineshwar Sharma

JAMMU, Feb 8: Several delegations called on Central Government’s Representative on J&K Dineshwar Sharma here, today.
A delegation of Doordarshan Approved Drama Artists Association (DADAA) called on the Interlocutor Dineshwar Sharma and apprised him of their long pending demands.
The delegation, which was led by the president of DADAA,  J. S. Babli demanded establishing of satellite ( DTH) DUGGAR CHANNEL and handed over a memorandum to him regarding the demands.
Janak Khajuria one of the members of the delegation said that DADAA is demanding Satellite Duggar Channel with sole aim to promote, protect and develop the rich culture heritage and languages spoken in the Duggar land. He also said that more than one crore Dogri speaking population stretched in between Mirpur, Bimtber, Bag, Siyalkot and Shakargarh in Pakistan,Gurdaspur, Pathankot and Hoshiarpur in Punjab and some portion of Himachal Pradesh will be benefited by the Channel.
Another delegation led by Sunil Dimple president Jammu West Assembly Movement called on Interlocutor Dineshwar Sharma.
Dimple registered strong protest with Dineshwar Sharma over worsening situation in Jammu & Kashmir and on LoC.
He handed over a memorandum to Sharma which has been addressed to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and the Government of India in which he registered his protest against the registration of FIR against Indian Army by State Government headed by Mehbooba Mufti despite the fact the Army jawans are martyred in cease fire violations.
A delegation of All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC) led by Desh Rattan  Pandita its president also called on Sharma and submitted a memorandum to him highlighting the problems of displaced Pandits. The memorandum demanded enhancement of relief, release of balance exgratia, restoration of encroached land of migrants, minority status to KPs, job avenues for unemployed over aged youth and migrant contractors, separate budget for Pandits and their permanent rehabilitation.
The representatives of Jammu Heritage Society led by Baldev Khullar its founder called on Sharma and demanded that the issue of Article 370 and 35 (A) should not be taken up at this stage in view of the volatile situation in the State in general and Kashmir province in particular. It also demanded that there should be equal development of all three regions of the State, the discrimination with Jammu should end and migrants should be settled in their native land, Mubarak Mandi be declared as trade mark of Jammu, etc.
