REASI, May 5: Several chicks were burnt alive when an animal-cum poultry shed inside a house caught fire at Ward number 1, in village Tuli, Tehsil Chassana, here today.
Reports said that fire broke out in the kitchen of Shakuntla Devi because of leakage in the LPG cylinder. The fire soon engulfed the animal shed resulting into critical burn injuries to a buffalo and sheep while several chick were burnt alive.
Some locals rushed to the spot and doused the flames besides saving other goods and belongings of Shakuntla Devi.
