SAMBA, Oct 19: Police here today arrested seven gamblers from Bari Brahmana area and recovered stake money of Rs. 14960 from their possession.
Acting on specific information regarding gambling, a Police team from Police Station Bari-Brahmana raided the gambling spot near Telli Basti, Balole Khad in Bari Brahmana and arrested the gamblers along with stake money and a set of playing cards.
The gamblers have been identified as Girdhari Lal resident of Bishnah; Mukesh Saini of Muzafferpur, Bihar at present Telli Basti Brai Brahmana; Kuldeep Raj of Dhiyansar, Bari Brahmana; Irshad Hussain of Telli Basti, Bari Brahmana; Sumeel Atri of Kunjwani; Mohd Aslam of Telli Basti, Bari Brahmana and Neeraj Sharma of Khada Madana at present Telli Basti, Bari Brahmana.
Taking cognizance of the matter, all the gamblers have been booked under Section 13 of Gambling Act at Police Station Bari-Brahmana.
