Seven day Multi-Lingual Short Story Fest concludes

JAMMU, Aug 23: The seven-day Multi-Lingual Short Story Festival which started on August 17 concluded here today at JKAACL.
Writers of Dogri, Hindi, Gojri, Punjabi, Pahari, Urdu and Kashmiri presented their stories in the festival.
Sixth day of the festival featured Urdu short stories. Prof. Qadoos Javaid, senior Urdu writer was the chief guest and Anil Saigal, Dogri Writer and Dr. Shehnaz Qadri were guests of honour.
In the beginning Geetaka Kohli presented a short story ‘After the funeral’ in English. She was the only writer to present short story in English.
Writers who presented their stories included O.P Shakir, Dr. Mushtaq Wani, Neelofa, Dr. Assadullah Wani and Swatantra Dev Kotwal.
Prof. Qadoos Javaid gave his views about all the stories. Dr. Shahnawaz, Editor Cum Cultural officer, Gojri conducted proceedings of the programme and also presented vote of thanks.
On concluding day Kashmiri writers presented short stories.
Six Kashmiri writers presented their stories. These were Satish Safeer, Ashok Gowhar, Kusum Sharda, Chaman Pinjouri, Vinod and Bimla Misri.
Vijay Sagar, Pyare Hatash and Avtar Krishan Naaz were present on the presidium.
The festival concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Shahnawaz, Editor cum Cultural Officer, Gojri.
