Settle Pandits in satellite township in Valley: JTC

JAMMU, Dec 16: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) was held today at Jagti township under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, president of the two organisations. The meeting was attended by the office bearers and members of both the committees and members of PCC Migrant Cell Jagti, Nagrota.
While addressing the meeting Pandita said that since the mass exodus of the community, the Government has been assuring  its permanent rehabilitation in a safe and secure place in Kashmir valley but nothing in this direction has been done till date.
He urged the Central as well as State Governments for ensuring early rehabilitation of the community in a safe and secure township in Kashmir valley.
He said Pandits suffered huge loss due to migration and demanded one time compensation of Rs one crore to each and every migrant family.
