JAMMU, June 1: J&K BJP vice president, Yudhvir Sethi here today led a delegation of Bus Stand traders and met Vice Chairman of Jammu Development Authority (JDA).
The delegation comprised of Ramesh Kumar Tak, president Traders Welfare Association Old Bus Stand Jammu and Madhu Sudan and it apprised VC JDA of problems being faced by the traders.
Earlier the delegation of Bus Stand Traders led by Ramesh Kumar Tak and Madhu Sudan, presidents of both the Unions reached the grievances redressal camp of BJP organized by Yudhvir Sethi and apprised him of their problems.
Sethi informed VC JDA that about 160 traders are running their establishments in the premises of Old Bus Stand Jammu having a minimum of 3 to 4 employees and every vendor has 1 to 2 employees.
He said that Old Bus Stand is in shambles and the Government is planning to reconstruct the whole premises which is a welcome step but need of the hour is to rehabilitate the traders.
The BJP leader said that government must think about the traders who are running their establishments in Bus Stand area so that their livelihood is not affected.
JDA Vice Chairman said, the Department will take all possible measures in rehabilitating the traders first and then the development work will be carried out.
Earlier, Yudhvir Sethi interacted with individuals and deputations during public grievances camp at Pt Prem Nath Dogra Bhawan Kacchi Chawni Jammu.
Issues related to ration, education, pension, PHE, PDD, revenue, power, water scarcity, roads etc were raised.
Yudhvir resolved most of the issues by talking to the authorities concerned on phone.
He assured to take up rest of the issues with concerned authorities and get them resolved at the earliest.
