JAMMU, July 28: A debit ridden septuagenarian allegedly committed suicide by jumping into Ranbir canal, here.
As per police sources, a debit ridden septuagenarian namely Krishan Lal, son of late Hakim Chand, a resident of Langotia, Miran Sahib allegedly committed suicide by jumping into Ranbir canal near Dhroop road.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and with the help of SDRF team retrieved the body from the canal.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary of GMCH Jammu for autopsy, which will be conducted tomorrow.
Satwari police has taken cognizance in this regards.
