Separatists condemn Baramulla killings

SRINAGAR, May 1: The separatist leaders today condemned the killing of three civilians in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district last night and said that shooting someone over his party or political affiliations is “inhuman and un-Islamic”
A joint statement issued by Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik expressed concern and condemnation over the killing of three youth from old town Baramulla.
The leaders said that time and again people are killed in such a manner and no one knows who kills them as the killers remain unidentified gunmen.  “While the State authorities conveniently blame armed youth, the militant organisations in fact condemn the killings and many time blame State agencies. In the process, the culprits never get identified,” they said.
The leaders reiterated that any killing on grounds of political or party affiliations is inhuman and un-Islamic and unacceptable to people and leadership of Kashmir.
Hizbul Mujahideen has  also strongly condemned the killing of three civilians in Baramulla. The Hizb appealed people to help them in identifying the people responsible for these killings.
