Separate Jammu State need of hour: Mankotia

UDHAMPUR, Mar 11: Reiterating the commitment of the party, ex-MLA and NPP State president Balwant Singh Mankotia today claimed that separate Jammu State is not a demand but need of the hour.
He said time has come to raise the separate State demand vigorously for seeking our due rights, share in funds and employment to the educated youth of Jammu region.
Addressing the party workers on the 36th foundation at Udhampur party office, ex-MLA Mankotia recalled that on March 23, 1982, Jammu Kashmir National Panther’s Party was flouted and started movement to root out discrimination with Jammu region.
He blamed that National parties BJP and Congress after seeking vote from Jammu people formed Government with Kashmir based National Conference and People’s Democratic Party and forced nationalist people of Jammu region to bow down before Kashmir based political parties. People of Jammu region never get equal share in development, education, employment and remain neglected since independence, regretted Mankotia.
He cautioned the people that time has come to carve the separate Jammu State so that people of Jammu region get their due share in development, employment as per their desire. Party is going to celebrate its 36th foundation day from  March 11 to 23 March 2018 at all districts of Jammu region, Mankotia said.
A large number of workers from different areas of Udhampur participated in the foundation day programme at party office. Party leader Dhani Ram Attri, Amarnath Mehra, Sanjeet Sharma, Jagdev Jagga, Kuldeep Master, Mohammad Mirza, Hoshiyar Singh, Rajender Bali, Tirentar Singh, Hans Raj Sharma and Ram Swaroop also addressed the gathering.
