MUMBAI, Dec 26: The 30 scrip index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) recovered today by 45.55 points to 21,078.26 in the opening trade as buying was seen across the board.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE), rose by 15.90 points
to 6,284.30.
The indices like Bankex, Realty, Power, Metal and Auto pushed the senex up in the opening trade.
Seeing in scrips, ONGC, Tata Power, Bharti Airtel, Sun Pharma and NTPC increased while Hero MotoCorp, Reliance, HDFC and ICICI Bank drifted lower, which capped from further gain, brokers said.
The gainers were ONGC by 2.21 pc to Rs 292, Tata Power by 1.57 pc to Rs 87.5, Bharti Airtel by 1.34 pc to Rs 329.85, Sun Pharma by 1.21 pc to Rs 574 and NTPC by 1.09 pc to Rs 139.05.
The losers were Hero MotoCorp by 1.26 pc to Rs 2106, Reliance by 1.69 pc to Rs 890, HDFC by 0.63 pc to Rs 775.70 and ICICI Bank by 0.37 pc to Rs 1094.20. (AGENCIES)
