Srinagar, Feb 1: Senior Journalist and Editor-in-Chief of Srinagar News Mehrajud-Din Wani passed away here today.
Wani was unwell and was recently admitted to CD hospital here.
Director Information and Public Relations, Rahul Pandey has condoled his demise.
While chairing a condolence meeting Rahul Pandey highlighted the role of departed journalist in raising public issues through his journalistic work and called his demise a great loss to journalist fraternity as well as society.
The Officers and Officials of Information Department Kashmir Division have expressed deep grief and sorrow over his demise.
A condolence meeting was held under the chair of Inam Ul Haq Siddiqui, Joint Director Information Kashmir.
They offered their condolences to the bereaved family, especially Mohammad Iqbal Wani and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
