ISLAMABAD, Sep 4 : Pakistan police on Wednesday confirmed the death of senior journalist Nisar Lehri, who was shot in Gulkand region of Mastung Balochistan, media reports said.
The police stated that Lehri, a former press club secretary, was killed over a land dispute, the Express Tribune reported.
Faiz Durani, president of press club demanded an investigation and arrest of those accountable for the criminal act.
According to media reports, the tragic incident followed the killing of journalist Bachal Ghuniyo in Ghotki, Sindh. Ghuniyo, emloyee of Awaz TV, was shot dead by unidentified assailants and police investigation is going on.
Another Journalist, Nasrullah Gadani, was also shot dead this year in a separate attack. (UNI)
