RAJOURI, Apr 9: Retired Deputy Commissioner and senior Congress leader Subash Sharma as well as PDP leader Mohd Shabir Choudhary joined BJP in a function organized at BJP office, here today in the presence of MLC Vibodh Gupta and other senior party leaders.
Welcomeing both the prominent leaders into the party fold, Vibodh said inspired by Prime Minister Modi’s vision and mission people with intellectual and progressive mindsets are joining party. He further said that the BJP tries to induct people who have achieved excellence in their respective fields so that they can become torch bearers for the common masses and society.
Calling people to unite and defeat corrupt and communal alliance of PDP, NC and Congress, the MLC urged them to vote and support BJP in upcoming parliamentary elections. Making a scathing attack on Mehabhooba Mufti and Farooq Abdullah, the MLC said, “People in J&K have rejected their nefarious moves to divide society and in upcoming elections voters will collectively defeat them”.
He further said that these leaders are trying to communalize elections in Rajouri-Poonch but none of their communal strategy will bear result as voters from both the districts have stamped their faith in BJP and PM Narendra Modi.
Speaking on the occasion, district president Dinesh Sharma appealed people to vote for BJP acknowledging the hardwork of PM Narendra Modi and his progressive vision.
State secretary Rajinder Gupta highlighted various achievements of BJP Government and schemes launched by PM Narendra Modi in last five years while ex-MoS Kuldeep Raj Gupta, ex-district president and vice-chairman, MC Rajouri, Bharat Bhushan Vaid, Darbar Choudhary and Asif Choudhary also spoke on the occasion.
