Sena demands action against those favouring Jamaat

JAMMU, Mar 10: Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray J&K unit has demanded strict action against those who raise voice in favour of fundamentalist elements.
Addressing a public meeting today at Marh, Shiv Sena State General Secretary, Manish Sahni said some senior leaders of a Kashmir based political party are advocating and supporting the banned organization like Jamaat-e-Islami.
Sahni claimed that even the former Chief Minister and PDP chief, Mehbooba Mufti has openly favoured this banned organization.
He claimed that organisations like Jamaat-e-Islami are helping people by offering education on the condition to promote terrorism in the State.
Shiv Sena leader said that such organisations are preaching fundamentalism to youngsters.
He said that recently the Governor, Satya Pal Malik has said that those criticizing the ban on Jamaat-e-Islami are anti-nationals.
“We appeal to the Governor to take strong action against these leaders who favour Jamaat-e-Islami,” Sahni maintained.
He appealed to the Election Commission of India and Governor not to conduct any elections in J&K until peace is restored in the State.
On this occasion many people from Marh block joined Shiv Sena and Sahni announce Marh Block unit with Dev Raj as Block President and Miss Kamlesh as President of Women Wing.
