KARGIL, Dec 27: Students organized a peaceful protest today at Lal Chowk Kargil demanding immediate result of DSSR Kargil, inclusion of Ladakh in 6th Schedule of the Indian Constitution and also condemning the Centre’s decision over NRC & CAA.
The protest was organized under the banner of SEMoK and addressed by Javed Balkhani, President SEMoK; Ahmad Qadri, General Secretary; Ali Murtaza, Vice President and Zakir Zaidi, social activist.
While speaking on the occasion, Javed Balkhani said that after a grand movement, SEMoK is successful in getting the mobile Internet service restored in Kargil and now people should use internet with utmost care and responsibility avoiding any kind of illegal activity which would become a reason for future suspension and tension in the society.
Zakir Hussain highlighted the consequences of CAA & NRC. He said that it is clear violation of Article 14 of Indian Constitution.
Ali Murtaza, Vice President SEMoK, highlighted the demand for inclusion of Ladakh in 6th Schedule and expressed solidarity with the student of Leh who were on hunger strike.
