JAMMU, June 2: University of Life organized a seminar at Hotel Asia in Jammu on “Steps to Improve Quality of English Language Teaching, Learning & Research”.
Psychologist and training expert Maruti Sharma did a presentation on importance of English communication skills in 21st century and steps that need to be taken to improve the standard of English language, teaching, learning & research in Jammu and Kashmir. He also mentioned that University of Life offers one hundred percent scholarships worth lakhs of rupees every year for students from economically weaker sections of society.
The seminar was attended by heads of various educational institutions and students. Shilpa Gupta International Child Language & Personality Development expert also interacted with the participants.
In the final session, it was decided that all institutions shall work together to help people of J&K speak better English and that University of Life shall organize a series of workshops, seminars and online training programmes in collaboration with partners across the State.
In this regard a Memorandum of Understanding was also signed.
