JAMMU, Mar 16: One day seminar on life & works of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah was organized by Baba Ghulam Shah Adabi Markiz, Rajouri, here today at BGSB University.
Jahangir Hussain Mir, Dy Chairman J&K Lagislative Council, was the chief guest on the occasion while Prof. Jawaid Mussarat, Vice Chancellor of BGSBU, presided over the event.
Main highlights of the programme were; Shahnshah-e-Jabal Awards of 2015-16, release of Dr M B Magray’s book, ” Systamatic Geography of J&K State” and paper presentation on life and works of Baba Ghulam Ali Shah.
Dr M B Magray, president of the BGS Adabi Markiz, delivered welcome address through a power point presentation on Baba’ s life and works.
Awards were conferred on Farooq Muztar, chief patron Himalayan Education Mission Society Rajouri and Prof Shabir Hussain Shah Jafri, Principal Govt PG College Rajouri for their distinguished work on uplifting the society and spread of education in Pir-Punjal region.
Prominent among others, who attended the function, included Ch Gulzar Ahmed (Ex MLC), Sain Ab Rashid. Iqbal Shawl, Dr Akhter, Dr GH Dar, Dr Ayjaz Mir and others.
