JAMMU, Sept 10: A seminar on “Drug abuse  and  the role of society in its eradication” was organized at MV International School.
On the occasion a play on “Say no to drugs” was beautifully presented by the students of MV International School. Speaking on the program, M S Sheetal Nanda, DC Samba disclosed the main objectives of the program i.e to reduce all sorts of drug abuse among the people of J&K.
Joginder Singh, SSP Samba, guest of honour also enlighted the students on the dangers of drugs, its causes and preventive measures.  MVIS Chairman, H  L Abrol also englighted the participants on drug menace and motivated the students, teachers and all the invited guests to aware their families and surrounding people .
Trophis and certificates were presented to the winner from various schools .Two participants Taniya & Esha  from Arvind Ghosh School ,Vijaypur bagged the I-Position and 2nd position in the seminar was shared by Komal Sharma MV International School Kaniya and GHSS Samba.
Other present were S S Sambyal, SDPO Vijaypur; Rajnesh Gupta SDM Vijaypur and  Karan Singh, rtd Lt Col, president People’s Forum for Human Values were present on the event.
