SRINAGAR, May 3: Kashmir University’s Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) on Tuesday held a seminar-cum-workshop on ’employability skills.’
KU’s Dean of Academic Affairs, Prof Mohammad Ashraf Wani, presided over the day-long seminar titled ‘Employability skills required in contemporary job markets, with special focus on careers in travel industry.’
Students pursuing PG Diploma in Tourism Management, Business Administration and Business Entrepreneurship at the DDE interacted with experts from the Industry and got acquainted with latest developments in the field of travel industry and career opportunities in this sector.
In his address, Prof Wani laid stress on close coordination between the University and Industry to tap the best talent for overall growth and development of the travel industry.
The experts who delivered lectures during the workshop included Shahid Khan, Business Consultant and Corporate Trainer, Soft Sinn Solutions Pvt. Ltd; Tariq Ahmad Mir, Senior Faculty at Indian Institute of Hotel Management and noted adventurer Rouf Ahmad Tramboo.
