NEW DELHI, Feb 22: Prices of select edible oils firmed up to Rs 150 per quintal on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on increased buying by retailers for the ongoing marriage season.
However, non-edible oils remained steady in scattered deals.
Traders said increased buying by retailers for the ongoing marriage season mainly led to rise in select edible oil prices.
In the national capital, palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils rose by Rs 150 each to Rs 6,650 and Rs 6,300 per quintal respectively.
Soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) oils moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 7,550 and Rs 7,300 per quintal respectively.
Coconut oil too traded higher by Rs 50 to Rs 1700-1750 per tin.

Oilseeds: Mustardseed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,160-1,290.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,500, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,900-1,950, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,500, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,290-1,370, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,375-1,475, Sunflower 6,300, Sesame Mill Delivery 11,600, Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 7,550, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 7,300, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 5,400, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,300, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,650, Palmolein (Kandla) 6,300, Rice Bran (phy) 3,800 and Coconut (per tin) 1,700-1,750.
Non-edible oils: Linseed 7,450, Mahuwa 4,000, Castor 9,400-9,500, Neem 5,300-5,400, Rice Bran 3,150-3,250 and Palm Fatty 3,200-3,300.
Oilcakes: Groundnut Dehusk 800-850, Sesame 950-1,150, Mustard (New) 1,000-1,025, Mustard 1,200-1,210 and Cottonseed 1,075-1,175. (AGENCIES)
