JAMMU, Oct 24: Sehyog Charitable Trust has played a significant role in the empowerment of women by providing free education to the unprivileged and needy children, especially the girl child.
Speaking at the inaugural function of Sehyog Charitable Trust office in Jammu on Tuesday, its founder, Danish Mishra said, “Sehyog, as the name signifies believes in forging ahead and achieving their goals through constructive partnerships and lending a helping hand, as and when required to the community. The focus of the Trust is not just limited to children but also extending a helping hand to needy women by providing vocational skills.”
“The Trust works for all people in distress, irrespective of any religions, regional or caste affiliations,” Mishra said. Pertinent to mention here, that Sehyog Charitable Trust was established in March this year under the leadership of Danish Mishra, a college student, with a vision to help needy people and create environment of co-operation for all.
Mishra said that the Sehyog Charitable Trust is going to solemnize the mass marriages of 101 poor girls in 2018. While sharing his views, Mishra said, “The basic concept of holding this mass wedding ceremony is to help destitute and to ensure marriages of their daughter in a respectable way.”
Speaking over the empowerment of women, Mishra said, “Education is one of the most critical areas of empowerment for women. Offering girls basic education is one sure way of giving them much greater power — of enabling them to make genuine choices over the kinds of lives they wish to lead. However, there are also important benefits for society as a whole.”
Danish emphasized that Sehyog Charitable Trust is always ready to provide all possible help to the children as well as students in completing their education. “If any needy or deserving students sort any type of help in completing their studies he/she should feel free to contact any time to the Trust,” he added.
