JAMMU, May 2: Agriculture Sub-Division Akhnoor has organized training programme on seed village Barseem crop wherein Member Legislative Assembly Akhnoor Rajeev Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion. Farmers were requested to adopt departmentâl programme which were also discussed in the training program.
MLA while addressing the farmers highlighted the technology given to farmers by SDAO in Akhnoor. He further stressed on farmers to take benefit from Pradhanmantri Fasal Beema Yojna, Pradhanmantri Krishi Vikas Yojna that has been available in the Agriculture Sub-Division Akhnoor.
The Agriculture Extension Officer Jourian Rajesh Langer and Sub-Division Officer Somnath Sharma also informed the farmers about departmental progress and gave scientific technology for Kharif crops on sustainable pattern as it was the suitable platform for the said operations.
Jourian SHO Anil Choudhary also participated in the programme wherein Tehsildar Jourian Ramesh Bakshi appreciated the department for its efforts in the regard.
The attractive gathering in the programme was largely attended women farmers.
The field functionaries of the agricultural department of Zone Jourian vis-a-vis Junior Agriculture Extension Assistant attended the programme performed their duties in the welfare of the largely participating farming community of village Potha and adjoining villages.
