Talking to media persons at Kolhapur during his visit to Maharashtra, he said that the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack devastated hoteliers, Taxi operators and other stakeholders of Tourism sector thus deteriorating the economic scenario of Kashmir, but the same will not allowed to be repeated.
“I do not think such an attack will happen again in India as both Government and security forces are fully prepared to face any situation,” he said and urged tourists to return to Kashmir-the Paradise on Earth.
Expressing serious concern over radicalization of some doctors involved in Faridabad white collar terror module, Azad said that all sections of the society need to remain alert for foiling attempts of anti-national and divisive forces.
He accused Pakistan’s intelligence agency of sponsoring terrorism and radicalization in the region and hoped that such nefarious designs will continue to be foiled by alert Indian forces.
Taking a dig at Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Azad said sleeping political parties cannot win elections. Giving reference of the recent Bihar Assembly election results, he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that his declaration that the BJP is now preparing for West Bengal shows the party’s aggressive political strategy whereas other parties do not go to that state even when elections are announced.
“After winning the elections in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced his readiness to win West Bengal while other party leaders, even at the time of the election, don’t go to that State. Elections cannot be won with such a method of working,” he said and advised that a political party must remain active among people throughout their five-year terms.
Azad also dismissed allegations about tampering of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), saying that no one has proven it. “The party that loses raises such doubts,” he said.
