JAMMU, Nov 21: A meeting of All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC) was held at Jagti township today. It was presided over by Desh Rattan Pandita President of AMCCC.
Addressing the meeting Desh Rattan said that secular values were eroded in Kashmir for Pandits with the slogan of quit Kashmir Movement and there was no secularism in practice in the Valley since 1947, he alleged.
Some Kashmir based leaders are crying that secularism is in danger in the country but they should first ponder whether it prevails in Kashmir where from over four lakh Pandit minority was forced to flee on gun point and they are presently living as refugees in other parts of State and country.
All politicians and bureaucrats of Valley are working against KPs and trying to push the community to wall. “Some burning issues which AMCCC raised from time to time before previous NC/Congress coalition and now before PDP & BJP coalition are hanging in balance because we are a miniscule minority having no vote bank”, he added.
Rattan said the land of Pandits was encroached by local People of Valley and State Government is looking as a mute spectator. Instead of helping migrants they helped the land grabbers as administration is hand in glove with them, he alleged.
Rattan said AMCCC has decided to protest before the Parliament and unmask those who are responsible for the genocide of the community. He also accused the pseudo secular forces of crushing the Community.
He said the Pandits houses have been either damaged or burned in early 1990 and till date the  balance Ex-gratia was not released.
The youths who got overage during these years have never been treated at par with the other youth of the State or country and no healing touch policy was initiated for them.
