SRINAGAR, Mar 9: Secretary, Disaster Management Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (DMRRR), Nazim Zai Khan, today visited and inspected construction work on quarters being raised for PM Package KP employees in various locations of Kashmir Valley.
Secretary was accompanied by Chief Engineer PW(R&B), Kashmir, officers of JKPCC, Relief organization and other line departments.
While reviewing progress on work at Vessu, Secretary exhorted upon the officers of executing agency to expedite the pace of progress for speedy completion. He asked the executing agency to complete the work on 4 towers by or before 30th June so that same is taken over by DMRRR department.
At Sheikhpora, Secretary asked for completion of work on remaining two blocks within a fortnight for handing over to DMRRR within the set time line.
During his visit to Wandhama, Ganderbal and Odina, Bandipora sites, Secretary had a detailed review of all ongoing works being executed in the employees’ quarters there.
Chief Engineer PW(R&B), Kashmir, assured that 6 towers shall be handed over to DMRRR by June, 01 in April, 02 in May and 01 tower shall be handed over to the department in June.
Similarly, it was assured that 04 towers at Odina shall be completed and handed over by the end of June 2022.
