Constitution of Trust for Machail Mata demanded

JAMMU, Aug 31: Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SDS), Jammu is taking out a grand Shoba Yatra on the eve of Krishna Janamashtami tomorrow.
This was stated at a press conference by Bodh Raj president Sanatan Dharam Sabha along with general secretary of Sabha, Prabhat Singh, its vice presidents Jagdesh Sharma and Bodh Raj of Kadah here, today.
Bodh Raj said Shoba yatra after performing Pooja -Archana will start from Geeta Bhawan Parade at 4 pm which will pass through Shalamar road, Indira Chowk, Hari Market and reach Raghunath Mandir where from the traditional chariot will lead this yatra. Later the Rath Yatra will pass through Veer Marg, Shaheedi Chowk, Rajinder Bazar, Kanak Mandi, City Chowk, Purani Mandi, Link road, Jain bazaar, Chowk Chabutra, Dhonthli Bazar, , Panjtirthi, Mubarak Mandi, , Pacca Danga, Moti Bazar, Purani Mandi, City Chowk and culminate at Raghunath Bazar in front of Raghunath Mandir.
He said 35 to 40 Jhankis will take part in the yatra in which the main attraction will be jhankis of ISKCON, Chandi Mata Machail, Praja Pati, Ranvireshwar Mandir, Braham Kumari, Goa Shalla, Shri Sanatan Dharam Natak Samaj, Shri SDS Goa Shalla, Ambphalla, Peerkho Mandir, Ram Mandir, Purani Mandi and besides them various other Jhankis will participate in it.
He said SDS has appealed to people from every section of society that they should take part in Shoba yatra in large numbers. The SDS is organising special programmes on every religious festival, he added.
He said in connection with Krishna Janam Ashtami, SDS organised Hari Katha from August 28 to 30 at Geeta Bhawan in collaboration with Divya Jyoti Sansthan in which people from all corners participated.
Bodh Raj also expressed serious concern over the controversy created on holy Machail Mata yatra and strongly condemned it. He said for last 40 years the holy Chhari is being taken from Bahdarwah to Machail Mata under the leadership of Thakur Kulvir Singh and it is he who has started this yatra. The Charri Yatra is being welcomed at every place and it is being paid obeisance by devotees every where enroute, he added.
He said it is unfortunate that this year some miscreants attacked the devotees accompanying the Chhari Yatra which is strongly condemned by SDS. The Sabha blames the administration for its total failure in giving protection to the devotees, he added.
Bodh Raj further said that this episode has hurt the sentiments of Hindus and demanded judicial probe into the matter so that the culprits are punished under law. The sentiments of lakhs of people are linked with Thakur Kulvir Singh and SDS appeals him to maintain the tradition of taking Chhari yatra. He complimented Thakur for his role.
The Sabha also demanded that for management of holy Machail Mata Yatra a Trust under the leadership of Thakur Kulvir Singh be constituted in which participation of every segment of society be ensured.
