SAMBA, July 13: The dead body of one Amit Kumar , 20, S/o Raj Kumar R/o Glar Camp was fished out by SDRF team today near Phase One of the Canal Nanak Chak.
DySP Hq, Deepak Digra and SHO Police Station, Samba, Chanchal Singh and Police Post Incharge, Rakh Amb Talli, Deepak Bharti and SDRF team rushed to the spot and fished out the dead body from the canal. It was shifted to District Hospital Samba for the postpartum . Dead body after postmortem was handed over to the family members for the last rights. In this regard Samba Police has taken the cognizance and started investigation.
According to sources Amit Kumar was the student of ITI College Samba and yesterday he went to College as per daily routine but later did not reach home in the evening. The family members waited for him but he did not return in the late hours also and after that family members registered a complaint at Police Post Rakh Amb Talli Samba. After that Samba police started searching of Amit Kumar and today his dead body was fished out from the Canal.
