MENDHAR, Mar 1: In a rare act of honesty, the Personal Security Officer (PSO) of the Sub Divisional Police Officer, Mendhar returned 15-16 packets of dry fruits to its owner, after the goods fell down from a truck and spread on the road.
Reports said the PSO was going on his bike towards Bhimber Gali the day before yesterday and he found packets of dry fruit lying on the road. He found that the goods from a truck moving towards Mendhar fell down on the road. He collected the dry fruit packets and informed SDPO Surinder Choudhary about the matter.
Today, the police traced the goods’ owner Raj Kumar Gupta of Jammu and truck No. JK02AJ/ 5534 and its driver Gunjan Lal of Bishnah and handed over the dry fruit packets to them in presence of other police officials. They lauded the act of honesty of the PSO Showkat Hussain.
