JAMMU, July 24: Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Surankote Ajay Sharma along with Tehsildar and other officers of civil and police administration conducted a check of market in Surankote town and advised the shopkeepers to sell healthy food to the people during the festival season as well as during the normal course.
The SDPO also held meeting with Beopar Mandal, Surankote, shopkeepers and other prominent persons and took stock of the situation on the eve of upcoming festival season.
He called upon the people and shopkeepers to maintain harmony.
Sharma later also reviewed security scenario with the local police officials and called upon them to ensure peaceful festival season.
He sought cooperation of public in endeavour of the police for maintaining peace in the area.
