Jammu, Feb 27: Today a meeting was conducted in Police Station Kahnachak with Panchayat members of Kanachak area in which 40/45 number of Sarpanch/Panchs and other people participated.
During meeting, many issues were raised by the Sarpanch/Panchs related to unnecessary stopage of local matadors, high rates in tractor trollies of sand and increased patrolling in the jurisdiction of police station to control activities of unwanted vagabond elements SHO Kanachak Vishav Partap Singh assured immediate redressal of the problems. Also issues were raised by SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul. He laid emphasis on the eredication of drug menace from the society and laid focus on the role of people in rescuing youth especially who are end users and said that we should treat them as victims and such youth should be identified from the society and police will give them all necessary help in providing them medications in police Drug deaddiction centres. He also assured focused approach towards eliminating drugs,illegal liquor and other social evils from the society.
Police assured them that all their greivances will be redressed and will provide helping hand to common masses.The main focus of this meeting was to bridge the communication gap between common masses and police and to assure people in general that Jammu police is always their for helping them and focused approach towards people friendly policing.
This program was initiated under the guidance of SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil for the police to reach out to the neglected and marginalized section of the society so that police services can reach out to each and every section of society.
