SDPO calls upon students to shun drugs

JAMMU, Aug 27: Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Nagrota Dr Amit Sharma today called upon the students to mobilize campaign against the drugs as they were extreme harmful and could cut short lives of the people.
Delivering a lecture at Government Higher Secondary School, Nagrota, Dr Sharma called upon staff and students of the institution to apprise their family member, colleagues and friends about harmful effects of drugs.
“While those who are not taking drugs, should say No to them forever and those, who are taking, should shun it,” he said.
Dr Sharma also briefed the students on road safety measures including consequences of rash driving, wrong turn, driving without helmet, use of mobile telephone during driving and crossing and shooting video clips etc while walking and driving.
The students were also entertained through a programme organized on the occasion.
The School Principal also addressed the gathering.
