MENDHAR, Nov 20: Sub Divisional Magistrate Mendhar, Sher Singh assisted by his staff today raided the office and rented house of Storekeeper, CAPD Mendhar and seized his record.
The action was taken by the SDM after large number of gunny bags of rotten ration (Atta) from CAPD Mendhar stores were thrown into the open fields and also at a nallah. The CAPD staff had disposed off this ration during night to avoid public wrath.
When people came to know about the matter, they took up the issue with the local Administration. While the TSO and concerned staff expressed ignorance over the matter, the SDM assisted by Tehsildar Mendhar seized record and started thorough probe into the matter.
Mr Singh when contacted said that this ration should have been disbursed timely by the CAPD staff. The things will be cleared after scrutiny of the record. Action under law would be taken against the guilty. The Administration may go for lodging an FIR against the accused if needed, the SDM maintained.
