JAMMU, Oct 30: To redress the grievances of residents of backward villages of Narrah, Kadyal, Chagyal, Fagal and Gangaal, a public darbar was organised here today.
On the occasion, Virender Gupta JKAS SDM Chowki Choura along with other senior Government officers listened to the grievances of people visited during the darbar.
At the outset, the Sarpanch welcomed the SDM for holding a Darbar to redress the grievances at their doorsteps.
Raising their concerns, people pointed towards the drinking water crisis at Vill Kadyal, allotment of PMAY cases to the long-pending deserving fellows of Village Gangaal and Chagyal, issue of incomplete Dugwell at Gangaal was also pointed out, the issue of low-voltage in Ward Nos.2 and 7, lack of Mobile connectivity in whole Panchayat was seriously objected by the Sarpanch because the MG NREGA works couldn’t be started due to lack of its on-line geo-tagging.
After listening to the grievances of the people, SDM assured the participants that their entire genuine demands stand noted and will be redressed in the shortest possible time.
Among others who were present during the camp included Shanker Manhas, AEE PDD, Rakesh Gupta, AEE Jal Shakti Department, Angrej Singh, AEE PWD, Siraj-ul-Din Tehsil Supply Officer, officials of Health and Rural Development Department.
