SC,ST, BC Corporation sanctions loans worth Rs 4 crore

JAMMU, Sept 21: Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Caste Scheduled Tribe & Backward Classes Development Corporation today sanctioned Rs 4.00 crore (four crore) as loan in favour of 102 unemployed youth belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, Handicapped, Safai Karamchari categories of various districts of the State for establishment of income generating units under Direct Financing Scheme in collaboration with five national level financial corporations of the country.
The Internal Screening Committee of the Corporation which met under the chairmanship of Dr Bharat Bhushan , Managing Director of the Corporation today cleared the cases. The Internal Screening Committee comprising of Financial Advisor, General Manager, Deputy General Manager (Projects) Deputy General Manager (Recoveries) Manager Finance and Supervisor (Technical) of the Corporation.
Dr Bharat Bhushan, MD of the corporation apprised that this Corporation has taken various concrete steps in maintenance of a proper and effective delivery system to benefit its target groups in a shortest possible time and in a transparent manner besides recovering the over dues of the Corporation.
The MD said that the since the Corporation is meant for socio-economic upliftment of the SCs, STs, BCs, Notified Mino-rities, Handi-capped and Safai Karamcharis, the Corporation has to deliver in such a way that its schemes could reach to every nook and corner of the State and no member of the target group may remain bereft of the schemes of the Corporation.
Further the district managers were directed to ensure that the loan beneficiaries deposit their money installments in time and also devote time in motivating the defaulters to clear their dues. He also underlined the need of creating mass awareness of various schemes being implemented for the socio-economic upliftment of target group.
