Scrapping J&K Bank recruitment process unacceptable: Manohar

KATHUA, Mar 4: Former minister and senior Congress leader Dr Manohar Lal Sharma criticized the Union Territory Administration’s decision of scrapping the recruitment process of Jammu and Kashmir Bank and demanded immediate roll back on the issue.
Expressing shock and dismay over the ordeal the aspirants had been going through following the scrapping of the recruitment process, Manohar Lal said the undue delay in the whole process has already put scores of aspirants and their families through fear and now administration’s decision of scrapping the recruitment process of 250 Probationary Officers and 1,200 Banking Associates that started in 2018 due to various “legal infirmities” and futher announcement of fresh recruitment has come as a shock to the many aspirants as majority of them had given up their jobs elsewhere in the country to appear in the exams.
He said the decision has come as a shock as just few days back, the news was coming that the result will be out sooner and now all of sudden it has been learnt about the government’s decision, of scrapping recruitment process.
Manohar further said on one side administration was talking about providing 50,000 jobs in J&K UT and on the other hand playing with future of educated unemployed youth by taking such decisions. DCC president demanded immediate roll back on the decision in order to restore faith and confidence in the youth.
He welcomed the recruitment drive conducted by Powergrid at NIT Srinagar and said these steps are good in upbringing the youth but said the same should have been done in different engineering colleges in Jammu region also.
