Srinagar, Feb 14: Scores of SDRF candidates today protested against the department for delaying the publishing of recruitment list of hundreds of candidates for last more than 7 years.
The protestors said that they had applied for the constable post in 2012, however, recently, the department published a list consisting only 355 candidates, leaving out the rest.
“There are more than 600 candidates who had applied for the post, but, after a break of more than 7 years, they have published the list of only 355 odd candidates, leaving out those who are now at the verge of getting over age,” said Muhammad Rafiq Dar, an aspirant.
The aspirants said that they have been knocking the door of every officials in J&K in order to get their issue resolved, “but so far our grievances have been overlooked; even the former Governor of the erstwhile J&K State assured us that our issue will be resolved, but nothing has been done so far,” they said.
They said that they are protesting for last more than one year now, but the issues continue to remain there. “We are again appealing the Governor’s Administration to intervene into the matter and get our issues resolved without any further delay; we belong to poor families and have pinned high hopes with the job” the aspirants demanded.
They also demanded that the list that has been published must be revised and the needful must be done in this regard.
