JAMMU, Sept 28: A deputation of Employees Provident Fund Union led by Nar Singh Narania, president State Central Labour Union Jammu, met Additional Provident Commissioner Jammu and discussed with him various problems being faced by staff of Provident Fund Organization of Jammu province.
The Union had earlier called for a two day strike from today in support of their genuine demands like shortage of staff, conduct of DPC, enhancement of departmental promotion quota from 35 to 50%, for PF inspectors from in-service candidates and framing of transfer policy. The Additional Fund Commissioner called the Union leaders and assured to take up the matter with higher authorities.
In view of this the Union decided to call off the strike and gave one month time for rerdressal of their demands. Others in the delegation were Karan Singh, Bir Singh, Vinod Kumar, Charan Singh, Subash Sharma, Lalit Mohan, Rinku Sharma and Paramjit Singh.
