JAMMU, Feb 27: In view of the prevailing situation, examinations of 8th and 9th classes, scheduled to be held tomorrow, have been postponed in entire Jammu division while the examinations of 12th and 10th classes ( Summer Zone, Regular), slated to be held on March 1 and March 2, respectively, have also been postponed.
According to Joint Director (Trainings) and Principal, SIE Jammu, J K Sudan, the 8th and 9th classes examination in subject Mathematics, scheduled to be held on 28th of February 2019, stands postponed due to unavoidable circumstances in Jammu division and rescheduled date for the same shall be notified separately.
Further, the J&K Board of School Education has also notified that the examinations of Class 12th, which were scheduled to be held on March 1, as per revised date sheet, and also the Social Science exam of class 10th, slated to be held on March 2, have been postponed.
However, rest of the papers with effect from March 5 in respect of class 12th and March 6, in respect of class 10th, shall be held as per the date sheet, already notified, said a spokesperson of JKBOSE.
Meanwhile, the authorities have clarified that all schools in Jammu, except those within a distance of five kilometers from the border, shall function normally on Thursday.
