Sir,
Refer article ‘School bag a burden’ DE Mar 19, 2017.
There is no doubt that school bag has become a burden these days in the country. Though voices have been raised time and again in this matter, nothing concrete has been done in reality. The bag has become a casualty of nexus between school managements and publishers. During admission to new classes, school managements prescribe more books than required. At the end of the academic session, it is found that most of these books remain untouched, or if touched not completely taught. It is beyond the reach of even teachers to cover them in the academic session. The school managements hardly bother about the pleas by parents in this regard. They are simply bothered about their money. Let it come, in any way. Parents feel helpless before school managements. They can go nowhere with their complaints, nor no one is going to listen them.
Government’s attitude in this regard has remained quite disgusting. Therefore, no one protests but simply suffers on this account.
Yours etc….
