SCERT Jammu holds training programmes on DIKSHA, ECCE/FLN

JAMMU, May 25: The Jammu Divisional office of State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT) J&K organized two capacity-building programmes aimed at strengthening digital education and Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) initiatives across the Jammu division.
The programmes were held under the mentorship of Director SCERT J&K Dr Naseem Javaid Chowdhary and the guidance of Joint Director SCERT Jammu Prof (Dr) Sindhu Kapoor.
A three-day workshop on the DIKSHA platform was organized by the Department of ECT and CS along with the DIKSHA team of SCERT Jammu.
Around 30 district DIKSHA coordinators, including academic and technical coordinators from all districts of Jammu division, participated in the workshop.
The participants received hands-on training on DIKSHA 2.0 and several AI-enabled tools, including Ask DIKSHA, video keyword search, read-aloud and translation tools, Personalized Adaptive Learning (PAL), coupon-based courses, content uploading and course creation on the new DIKSHA Learning Management System.
Officials said SCERT J&K became the first Union Territory-level body in the country to introduce a coupon-based course initiative on the DIKSHA platform during the workshop.
The technical sessions were conducted by Vivek Jandial, DIKSHA Technical Coordinator, SCERT Jammu.
The programme was supported by Mohammad Shabir, Associate Professor and Head Academic Unit-III, Reeta Charak and the ECT and CS department team.
Meanwhile, a two-day Initial Professional Preparation Programme for ECCE educators was also organized to strengthen foundational learning, classroom practices, academic planning and assessment.
Dr Sanjeevani delivered the welcome address, while Rajni Kumari presented the keynote address. Sessions on ECCE, FLN, academic planning, teacher mentoring, monitoring, community participation, assessment and innovation were conducted by various resource persons.
The programmes concluded with certificate distribution and a vote of thanks.
