POONCH, Jan 9: Stone pelting incident was reported on two residential houses, damaging window mirrors at Bhainch village in Poonch.

Families disclosed that during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, unknown persons pelted stones on two houses damaging the buildings and window panes and also knocked their main gates, creating fear among them. They intimated police and other security agencies about the matter which reached the spot and locals gathered there.
They said that SHO Poonch along with his team also visited in the morning to access the matter, while former MLC Pardeep Sharma said that he has also brought the matter in the notice of senior police officers, demanding a police post there to keep minority community secure.
A local said that it was an attempt to harm the brotherhood between two communities and we demand action against those involved in it.
The house owners were identified as Vinod Kumar Bali, son of Jagdish Kumar Bali and Sahil Bali, son of Kanwal Kishore Bali, residents of Bhainch area in Poonch.
A senior Police officer when contacted said that we have assured them security and an investigation has been taken up in the matter.
