JAMMU, June 13: In order to make the people from the Scheduled Caste community familiar with the schemes of the Corporation meant for their welfare, Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation Limited, organized an Awareness Camp in the premises of Mahatma Atma Ram Saryara Sabha in Bahu Fort area here today.
Led by Vice- Chairperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, the senior officials of Corporation including General Manager, Gulam Qadir Khatana, FA/ CAO, Mohammed Yaseen and Jammu District Manager, Joginder Paul Atri, reached Bahu Fort and shared welfare schemes with a gathering of Scheduled Caste category. A large number of people from different sub-castes under SC category had reached to know what the Corporation has for them.
The people who attended the Awareness Camp, had interaction with the VC and their queries were answered by the Corporation officials as well, on the spot printed material was also distributed among the gathering, which had complete details of the schemes meant for the socio- economic upliftment of the weaker sections, including SCs and other categories of target groups.
Balbir Ram, handed over booklets of the Corporation schemes to the Saryara Sabha president Bahadur Lal, vice president, Hardesh Khokhar, general secretary, Manohar Lal, Sabha advisor, Ramesh Chander and other office bearers of Saryara Biradari.
Balbir Ram, on this occasion, stressed upon the unemployed males and females of SC category to avail the benefits of the welfare schemes and set up their own earning units instead of sitting idle at home.
