NEW DELHI: The Supreme court today lifted the long time ban on dance bars in Mumbai.
Dance bars were banned in 2005 under the Mumbai Police Act.
A bench comprising Chief Justice Altmas Kabir and Justice S S Nijjar today upheld the Mumbai High Court judgement and dismissed the appeals filed by Maharashtra.
With today’s order the dance bars can re-open in Mumbai.
