SC lawyer, 89 others test +ve

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Sept 2: Jammu and Kashmir today reported 89 COVID positives cases while seven fresh cases were recorded in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Meanwhile, Supreme Court lawyer and chairman Policy & Strategy Group Ashok Bhan has tested positive for COVID-19. He has been admitted in Medanta Hospital Gurugram in Haryana.
Sixteen cases were reported in the Jammu region and 73 in Kashmir.
Four cases were registered in Jammu district, three Doda, two each in Reasi, Poonch, Kishtwar and Rajouri and one in Ramban while Samba, Kathua and Udhampur districts didn’t report any new cases.
Forty eight persons today recovered from the virus.
Jammu region now has 1,23,055 Corona cases. Among them, 273 are active positives while 1,20,616 have recovered from the virus and there have been 2166 casualties.
The Union Territory of Ladakh today reported seven new COVID positive cases including six in Leh and one in Kargil district.
Ladakh now has 71 active positive cases.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 73 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Moreover, 88 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 40 from Kashmir division.
And 67.63 percent of population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.
In J&K, out of 3,25,618 cases, 1320 are active, 3,19,889 have recovered and 4409 have died including 2243 in Kashmir division.
