JAMMU, Aug 12: Supreme Court has extended the deputation of M K Hanjura, senior most judicial officer of J&K Higher Judiciary.
Mr Hanjura was appointed as Registrar in the Supreme Court last year and his deputation has been extended by one more year.
Secretary General of Supreme Court of India Ravindra Maithani in a communication to the Registrar General of J&K High Court has sought services of MK Hanjura for one year more with effect from August 21, 2014. The State High Court has conveyed the concurrence of Chief Justice for extending the deputation of Mr Hanjura.
Mr Hanjura belongs to Tehsil Chadoora in Budgam district. He completed his graduation in Arts from University of Kashmir and did LLB (Hons) from University of Kashmir and enrolled as pleader in the year 1980. He practised law up to the year 1987 and was appointed as Munsiff in January 1987, promoted as Sub-Judge in November 1996 and appointed as District and Sessions Judge in the month of March 2003.
He was inducted into the Selection Scale in September, 2009. He has distinction of serving in segments of Registry of the J&K High Court.
