JAMMU, May 7: Shree Bhagwan Parshuram Trust (SBPT) today organized a program in connection with incarnation day of Bhagwan Shree Parshuram and pledged to follow the path of struggle, truthfulness and flawless life.
Ex-Minister, Jugal Kishore Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion whereas ex-MLA Ashwani Sharma, producer of Indian cinema Arun Sharma, BTS national secretary Dinesh Jindal and Haryana Pradesh Sehkari president Kartar Singh Saini were guests of honour. Ajay Sharma (SP Jammu South) and J N Sharma were special guests while ex-MLA Ashok Sharma presided over the function.
While addressing the gathering, Jugal Sharma congratulated the Brahmin community on the pious day of incarnation day of Bhagwan Shree Parshuram and asked people to follow the path shown by Lord Parshuram. Lord Parshuram always stood against the opression, tyranny, despotism, oppressiveness and persecution, he said and asked the people to remain in touch with their roots.
In his address, Ashwani Sharma said that Bhagwan Parshuram was never against any community or section of society except cruelty of the then rulers or muscled persons. He said that Lord Parshuram has set precedent for others to live with morality.
The chief general secretary of SBPT, Pt R C Sharma moved three proposals for approval the house unanimously passed the same. These proposals include creation of Brahman Development Board by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir; paying homage to martyr Rajguru, Jhansi Ki Rani and Chandershekhar Azad on their birth anniversaries and to initiate the membership drive to expand the base of the Trust.
Prior to this, Dr Kuldeep Sharma presented mementos to the guests as token of love. Seventy-four social personalities of different fields were honoured by the trust to encourage them. The programme was compeered by RC Sharma and Anita Chandpuri.
