JAMMU, Dec 10: Besides introducing new schemes and technology products, the State Bank of India is going to open SBI Intouch, Specialized NRI branch, HNI branches, ATM Recycler etc, in Jammu and Kashmir.
This was informed by Avdhesh Kumar Singh, Deputy General Manager of SBI Administrative Office Jammu, while talking to media persons, here today.
While elaborating about the SBI initiatives, he informed that the bank is all set to open two branches of SBI Intouch, one each in Jammu and Srinagar. “These SBI Intouch branches will be without human face, where the customers can use techno products by using their Aadhar number ,” he said and added that so far SBI Intouch branches were functioning only in metro and big cities.
Similarly, a High Network Individual (HNI) branch is being opened in the SBI Administrative office near Rail Head Complex Jammu for catering to the high profile customers and NRIs. “In this HNI branch, which is almost ready and being formally inaugurated next month, personalized services will be provided to the customers,” the DGM added.
ATM Recycler of the bank is another initiative of the SBI, where money will be recycled automatically from Cash Deposit Machine (CDM) to ATM. Such ATM Recyclers are being installed in the State very soon to provide better service to the customers, said Avdhesh Kumar.
Moreover, the DGM said, the bank has introduced SBI Anywhere and SBI Buddy services, for which the application can be downloaded from Google Playstore for doing banking from anywhere. “SBI Buddy is used for transferring small amount and it works in 14 languages, including Urdu, he informed.
Regional Manager A K Razdan, was also present in the press conference and he shared information regarding the SBI initiatives to de-congest the branches.
