JAMMU, Apr 4: Shri Bawa Bhair Devsthan Trust (SBBDT) today organized a function at Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha, Chanakya Chowk, Parade Jammu in which the annual calendar for the year 2022 was released by senior BJP leader and Chief of Tawi Andolan Chander Mohan Sharma.
The calendar was released in the presence of the president Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha (DBPS) Ved Parkash Sharma, Subash Shastri, B S Jamwal (ex-DC) and Sat Pal Sharma (secretary, Red Cross Society, Jammu province). DBPS Chairman PC Sharma (Senior Advocate) presided over the function which started with the chanting of Mantras and Shlokas.
The function was attended by various representatives, prominent citizens and pilgrims drawn from various parts of Jammu city especially from village Aitham, Soura, Kattal Batal, Bhair, trustees and associated members of Shri Baba Bhair Devsthan Trust namely Balwant Singh (chairman), Ramesh Sharma (general secretary), Girdhari Lal, Subash Chander, Sarpanch Kirpal Singh, Om Parkash Sharma, Shiv Ram Sharma, M L Padha, Dina Nath, Gurdas Sharma, Charan Dass, Joginder Singh, Abhinash Sharma, Mohinder Sharma, Ashwani Sharma, Rinku Sharma, Rahul Sharma and Kishor Kumar Sharma (Sarpanch Nagrota).
The speakers while throwing the light on the history of Baba Bhair Dev Ji (the Kul Devta of many biradaries) urged the J&K Government to bring the Shrine on the map of J&K tourism circuit apart from raising and upgrading the facilities at the historical shrine. They urged the administration to bring the road to the Shrine under PMGSY Scheme for which the Trust members have already pursued the case with Tourism department and PWD.
