Save species extincting due to climate change: Guv

JAMMU, Apr 21: Governor Satya Pal Malik has conveyed greetings on the occasion of Earth Day, an annual event celebrated all across the world on 22nd of April.
Emphasising on this year’s theme for Earth Day, which is “Protect Our Species”, Governor urged the people to share their responsibilities towards nature for saving species which are on the verge of extinction due to climate change, deforestation, pollution and illegal poaching.
“If we wish to protect the human race and all the other life forms, we must ensure that the planet we lived on is protected”, he added.
Governor called for conservation and sustainable use of natural resources for peaceful coexistence with nature.
